Selecting a nursing home is an important, personal and often difficult decision. WHCA stresses the importance of taking the time to visit prospective nursing facilities to personally experience the environment into which loved ones will be placed. Family members, relatives and friends of prospective residents are encouraged to visit WHCA member facilities to ask specific questions of administrators and their staff as well as to talk to the residents themselves in order to assure the decision they make is the right one.
